Tortillas

Mexican tortillas in the Philippines almost always mean flour tortillas — the soft, pliable wrap used for burritos, quesadillas and soft tacos. Manila Bambi Foods sells them in two lines, original and whole wheat, each in a 6″ and a 10″ size.

If your recipe calls for corn tortillas specifically — for tacos dorados, enchiladas, or anything fried — this isn’t the product. As of this check, we haven’t found a raw, uncooked corn tortilla stocked locally, only pre-fried corn taco shells. The workaround: you can press your own from masa harina, which is the same corn dough used in Mexico.

Short answer

Cheapest: the unlabeled 10″ tortilla from Manila Bambi, ₱75 for 390 g (₱19.23 per 100 g). Same tortilla as the branded version, just without retail packaging.

If you want retail packaging: the branded 6″ Mexican Tortilla at ₱71.50 for 300 g (₱23.83 per 100 g).

Whole wheat: the 10″ size is the better value of the two — ₱29.23 per 100 g versus ₱32.33 for the 6″.

Flour Tortillas (Original)

The standard white flour tortilla, sold both under Bambi’s retail packaging and as an unlabeled bulk version aimed at foodservice buyers — but purchasable in single packs by anyone.

The “unlabeled” version is the exact same tortilla without a retail sticker — it’s aimed at restaurants and resellers, but Manila Bambi sells it in single packs to anyone. The 10″ size works out about 32% cheaper per 100 g than its branded equivalent. Both sizes are ordered from the same product page — pick the size from the dropdown.

Whole Wheat Tortillas

Same use cases as the original, made with whole wheat flour instead of refined white flour.

What won’t work as a substitute: lumpia wrappers, roti, and pita are sometimes suggested as swaps, but none of them fold or hold fillings the way a flour tortilla does — lumpia wrapper tears when wet, roti and pita are too thick and don’t roll closed.
